Hope Taking Root in Nigeria

Serving internally displaced communities through local church partnerships focused on discipleship, care, and long-term impact.

“Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.” - Hebrews 13:3

Persecution in Nigeria

Nigeria is home to millions of internally displaced people (IDP), many of whom have been affected by conflict, instability, and economic hardship. Local churches and mission groups are stepping in to provide not just relief, but spiritual guidance and long-term community restoration.

3.5M+ Internally Displaced

Millions of Nigerians have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict and insecurity. They are forced to live in makeshift, abandoned shelters.

Ongoing Regional Instability

Northern regions continue to face violence from the Fulani ethnic group and Islamic terrorist groups. Systemic murder, violence, fracturing of families, widespread abductions, hunger, and refugee camps.

High Poverty Rates

More than 20,000 churches and schools have been destroyed since 2009, wiping out community infrastructure. The overall poverty rate in Nigeria is estimated at 38%, with 80+ million citizens living below the poverty line.

WHY THIS MATTERS

We Are One Body

When one part suffers, all suffer.

They are not distant.
They are our brothers and sisters.

To know is to care.
To care is to pray.
To pray is to act.
