The vision of Purpose Planting is for every believer in the West to understand the reality of persecution beyond their borders. We desire for every church to be aware of this persecution and actively engaged. We pray for the Spirit of Christ to move within church leadership and stir compassion and action. Our aim is for mission programs to include intentional awareness and support for the persecuted. We long to see the hearts of persecuted believers deeply connected with Christians throughout the West.
Purpose Planting Ministries is committed to proclaiming the truth about persecution by sharing authentic accounts of genocide, atrocities, and the systematic targeting of Christians, with a focus on Nigeria, Syria, Haiti, and other regions served through the Ananias House. Through storytelling, testimony, and honest reporting, we bring the hidden suffering of the persecuted Church into the light so that the body of Christ can respond with prayer, compassion, and action.
We seek to serve as a bridge between the Western Church and those who suffer for their faith, standing as both a voice for the voiceless and a lifeline for the forgotten. Our calling is to remind believers who feel abandoned by the world that they are still seen, loved, and cherished by God and by their global spiritual family.
Guided by God’s Word and prayer, we exist to strengthen the persecuted, awaken the Western Church, and bear witness to the truth that even in the face of persecution, the gospel of Jesus Christ cannot be silenced.

Craig Weber has been a devoted follower of Christ for more than 25 years. He is joyfully married to his beloved wife, Carolina, and together they are raising four beautiful children. Their story began in the inner city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where they met while serving the downtrodden and marginalized. Ministry, compassion, and a shared burden for the suffering have been woven into their relationship from the very beginning.
Craig’s calling to serve the persecuted church began over 13 years ago, but its roots reach back even further. In 2013, he read Richard Wurmbrand’s powerful book Tortured for Christ — a moment that pierced his soul deeply. Second only to Scripture, this book ignited in him a fire he could not ignore. That same year he began serving with Voice of the Martyrs, taking on speaking engagements across churches, ministries, and his personal networks to raise awareness of Christian persecution worldwide.
His vision has remained steady and bold: to see believers in the West spiritually knitted to their persecuted brothers and sisters abroad. Craig has taught on persecution, advocacy, and intercession; launched prayer calls; and continually sought ways to strengthen the persecuted church. He often says that without his bride, Carolina, Purpose Planting would never have launched — she has been a foundational support in every step.
A pivotal moment came in April 2014, when over 200 Christian schoolgirls were kidnapped in Nigeria by Boko Haram. Craig’s heart broke, and his focus sharpened. He committed himself not only to raising awareness but also to directly supporting families, communities, and churches in Nigeria.
Craig has been part of the Calvary Chapel community since 2010. In 2019, sensing a nudge from the Lord, he searched for a Calvary Chapel presence in Nigeria — and discovered Calvary Chapel of Abuja. He reached out to Pastor Prince, beginning a meaningful relationship with the pastor, his family, and the believers there.
In February 2024, Craig traveled to Nigeria for nine days. What he encountered on the ground — including the needs of internally displaced persons (IDP) camps — pierced his heart all over again. That visit confirmed what he already knew: his life’s calling is to stand alongside the persecuted church, advocate for their needs, and rally believers in the West to join that mission.
